Super Stoked for a Juicy September!

In celebration of the one year anniversary of the publication of my book, Share Your Joy: Mixed Media Shareable Art, I've got some fun events planned! I am so grateful for all the venues that are helping me celebrate this momentous occasion!

Check to see if you live near any of these wonderful creative spots.

If you do, I hope I will see you!

It all kicks off in my home town: Leucadia! I may live a few miles south of Leucadia now, but I actually grew up there as a little kid, and went to grade school at Central School. I have such fond memories and this little beach town is still as artsy and cool as it was way back when!

The Corner Frame Shop & Leucadia Art Gallery is hosting a book signing and artist reception on September 5th from 5-7PM. The professionals there are framing up some of my Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) inspired by photos I have taken on several trips to Sayulita, Mexico. It turns out that shareable art is framable art! The groups of 3-6 ATCs set in a professional frame are looking fabulous! Photos really don't do the framed pieces justice, but they'll be on display and available to purchase at the event!

Then, on September 8th from 9:30 to 12:30 I will be holding another of my Art Play Dates at The Corner Frame Shop - Travel Photo Artist Trading cards! I'll show you how I made my Sayulita-inspired ATCs! Click below for more information and registration.

Then, I hit the road! Last year, I drove all the way to Orland first, to visit my friend Jill. This year, I'm doing the same thing. The difference this time is that the Christine Mac Shane Studio in Chico is hosting me for my "Kindness Cards" Art Play Date! I would love to see you if you can make it to this in-person event. We will make a set of 12 "Kindness Cards" using some fun mixed media layering techniques. If you're a beginner, you'll learn about some art supplies and how they work together; if not, you can add these techniques to your own creative practice. Then, you can share your cards with others as little random acts of kindness. Click below for more information and registration.

Next, I'll be in Rancho Cordova On September 15th! Heart Craft Studio will host me for another "Kindness Cards" Art Play Date! If you live in the Sacramento area,

I would love to see you there!

As I make my way South, I'm in San Jose the evening of September 19th for a "Painted Layers Postcards" Art Play Date at A Work of Heart Studio! Last year we had a lovely time creating together in this amazing space I'd always dreamed about visiting. I am so excited and grateful to be teaching here, again! This class is all about layering different media to create a rich and interesting background that is cut up into postcards and then further embellished before sharing. It's based on a project from my book!

Next I join The Playful Space & By that One Girl for their third annual Celebrate YOU Palooza in Bakersfield on September 21st. This all-day event is a gathering of women taking time for and celebrating themselves. It's a day full of confetti, balloons, champagne, nibbles, lunch, uplifting speakers, and artists like me, designed to connect you to yourself and resource you in new and energizing ways as you move through and create the life you want for yourself. I am so looking forward to this wonderful opportunity to connect with everyone! I know it will be such a fun bonding experience. I'll be offering an art station where you'll make...you guessed it....some shareable art - a Polka Dot Postcard. You can write yourself an affirmative message on the back! Then, we'll add the postage and mail it so that you have a lovely reminder of the experience in your mailbox a few days later!

Last, but definitely not least, I'll be in Encino at Claudine Kitchen & Bake Shop for another "Painted Layers Postcards" Art Play Date the evening of September 22nd. I'm so grateful to Lea for hosting me! I would love to see you there!

Let's sling some paint and make some art together!

Last year's "tour" was an incredible experience for me! I was so grateful to be able to meet readers and followers, as well as students from my online classes. I made genuine connections and new friends, and I can't wait to repeat the experience.

I thank you from the bottom of my heart for purchasing my book and attending my classes! If you join me for any of these events, bring your book.

I would be honored to sign it for you!

I hope to see you soon!
